Creating Measurements
Measure Distances
To create a distance measurement
Open a drawing in Trimble Connect for Browser's 2D Viewer.
Select the distance measurement tool from the measurement dropdown in the toolbar.
Next click and drag in the document to create the measurement.
An overlay with measurement information will show up when you are creating or selecting a measurement annotation.
Measure an Area
To create an area measurement
Open a drawing in Trimble Connect for Browser's 2D Viewer.
Select the area measurement tool from the measurement dropdown in the toolbar.
Add multiple points by clicking in the document.
Return to the first added point to complete the measurement.
An overlay with measurement information will show up when you hover or select the measurement annotation.
Quick Tip
Holding the SHIFT key while drawing will force the line to be drawn in 0º, 45º, or 90º angles.
Measure a Perimeter
To create an area measurement
Open a drawing in Trimble Connect for Browser's 2D Viewer.
Select the perimeter measurement tool from the measurement dropdown in the toolbar.
Add multiple points by clicking in the document.
Double click to complete the measurement.
An overlay with measurement information will show up when you hover or select the measurement annotation.
Quick Tip
Holding the SHIFT key while drawing will force the line to be drawn in 0º, 45º, or 90º angles.
