Free Text Annotations
Overview
Text annotations are used to write on documents to add information to a View.
The text can be edited after creation.
The placement of the text box can be moved after creation.
Text annotation font size, color, border and fill can be changed after creation.
Add a Text Annotation
To add a text annotation
Open a file in Trimble Connect for Browser's 2D Viewer.
On the toolbar, activate the Text Annotation tool.
Pick the point where you want to add the text annotation.
Type the desired text in the text box.
To complete the text annotation, click somewhere else in the document.
Note
Annotations are not saved automatically as part of a document. Create a View or ToDo to save.
Edit a Text Annotation
Prerequisites
These instructions assume that you have already created the annotation in Trimble Connect for Browser's 2D Viewer.
To edit the text
Select the annotation.
Double click the text.
Modify the text as needed.
To save the text annotation, click somewhere else in the document.
To edit the text box
Select the annotation.
2. Click and drag one of the end points to edit the size.
3. To move the position of the annotation, click and drag the annotation (from the center) to the desired area.
4. Release the left mouse button.
Text Formatting
You can bold, italic, underline or strikethrough formatting to your text.
Bold text
Select the text and press CTRL + B
Italic text
Select the text and press CTRL + I
Underline text
Select the text and press CTRL + U
Strikethrough text
Select the text and press CTRL + K
Style Properties
The style properties can be accessed by pressing the Style button after the annotation is selected.
